Hey everyone. We’re back this week with another creativity roundup. I try to do something creative weekly, so this is a great way to share it.
This week is a bit light compared to last week, as I was driving up to Washington to start my masters, but we’re continuing on the shellfish path. I’ve moved from muscles to oysters, but soon, I’ll incorporate some crabs!
Not only is all of my work still for sale, but every week, I’ll randomly select from my paid subscribers and send them the work of their choice, so if you want some free art, click subscribe!
A study of american oyster species
One of my goals in life is to have my sister organically frame one of my pieces in her kitchen. My sister
(obviously) has a great sense of style, specifically in commercial art. Recently, I’ve been trying to move my focus from hyperrealism to art that offers a more commercial value, so I wanted this week's painting to be the type of thing I could see various women across the country framing in their kitchens. I decided to make an infographic-style poster about California oyster species, focusing more on color and form than a picture-perfect representation. I’m about 40% done, but I’ll put some progress pictures below.Finishing up some ceramics,
it’s also the end of an era! I’ve spent the last 3 or 4 months obsessed with ceramics, but because of my move, I had to let go of my shelf space at Castro Clay in San Francisco. I finished my lamp and muscle mugs and glazed some other stuff. Hopefully, when I’m back in the city, I can pick these up.

For my next series, I want to finish up with the Crustacians and really get into gambling-themed things, so if anyone has any recommendations or things they’d like to see painted, let me know!
